Jodie Foster is an acclaimed American actor, director, and producer known for her intelligence, emotional range, and longevity in film. Foster has starred in critically celebrated films including The Accused (1988), for which she won her first Academy Award for Best Actress, and The Silence of the Lambs (1991), earning her second Oscar. Her career spans a wide range of genres, from thrillers and dramas to science fiction and family films, including Contact (1997), Panic Room (2002), and Inside Man (2006). In addition to acting, Foster has built a respected career as a director and producer, helming films such as Little Man Tate (1991) and Money Monster (2016), as well as directing episodes of major television series.
